Signia Hearing Aids
By Sivantos Group (Previously Siemens)
Company Information: Signia is a hearing aid manufacturer owned by the Sivantos Group. Since March of 2019, Sivantos Group has been part of WS Audiology, a company formed that day through the combination of Singapore-headquartered Sivantos with Lynge/Denmark-based Widex. The merging of Signia and Widex makes the resulting WS Audiology the 3rd largest hearing aid company in the world. The combined research and development power of these two experienced manufacturers will result in even more ground breaking technologies being released. Most recently, Signia launched a new hearing aid model called the Styletto. The Styletto is the next step in hearing aid design, providing wearers with a truly attractive hearing aid model paired with innovative rechargeable technology.

Signia Hearing Aid Features
To improve speech recognition, Primax is equipped with the new SpeechMaster feature, which enhances speech in many different disputations. SpeechMaster is powered by a collection of algorithms which allow Primax to focus on the voices the wearer wants to hear, while eliminating unwanted background noise. SpeechMaster aids the wearer’s listening with digital noise reduction, directionality microphones, and amplification.
Along with SpeechMaster, EchoShield is an innovative feature that eases listening effort for Primax wearers. EchoShield softens sounds to prevent over-amplification, which may cause discomfort for the wearer. It is especially useful in challenging acoustic spaces, such as lecture halls, hallways, places of worship, and atriums. EchoShield balances out loud, reflected sounds and protects softer sounds.
In this age of smartphones, Primax takes accessibility one step further with the hands-free TwinPhone feature. Using a wireless, magnetic connection to the smartphone, Primax allows wearers to stream conversations directly to their ears, simultaneously reducing listening effort and preventing the unpleasant feedback between a hearing aid and a phone.
For people who experience single-sided hearing loss, Primax offers a solution with the CROS/BiCROS hearing aids. Using e2e wireless technology, the CROS Pure transmitter tirelessly transfers sounds from the hearing aid side to the unaided ear. This gives wearers a fuller sound picture, with the ability to hear sound from both sides.
For music lovers and musicians alike, Primax’s HD Music feature enhances sounds to deliver music fidelity. HD Music offers three modes of listening to maximize the musical experience: recorded music, live music, and performing music.
Hearing Aid Styles
Primax is available in receiver-in-canal, behind-the-ear, or in-the-ear styles. They are all discreet and sleek in design, while providing maximum performance.
It is also available in different performance levels for varying degrees of hearing loss: 7px, 5px, and 3px. Primax is available in best-selling hearing aid models from Siemens/Sivantos Group: Ace, Pure (receiver-in-canal), Motion (behind-the-ear), and Insio (in-the-ear).
Wearers of Primax will find ease of operation with the touchControl app and remote control, and connectivity to other devices (smartphones, tablets, etc.) through the easyTek app. Primax hearing aids also offer tinnitus therapy (static noise and ocean wave sounds).
Introducing the Primax Star Platform
Binaural hearing occurs when audio data is picked up from both ears and mixed for a natural listening experience. Primax Star is equipped with a number of sophisticated technologies that work simultaneously to ensure a high definition experience, capturing sounds from the breakfast table to the conference room. High Definition binaural with Primax Star wirelessly transmits audio signals between both hearing aids to provide clear and accurate sounds in your environment.
With high-powered microphones and speech recognition features, Primax Star provides wearers with excellent access to conversation – regardless of the environment. Speech features and hearing aid microphones are designed to constantly adjust, while still capturing the other intricate sounds around you. This enables Primax wearers to focus on speakers even against challenging background noise.
Remote fine-tuning is achieved through TeleCare 2.0, which keeps you in touch with us at Greentree Audiology. If there are adjustments to be made, we can fine-tune your listening experience from a remote location. This technology is available with the Silk, Cellion, and Pure 13 BT Primax models.
Signia Primax Portfolio
Signia offers a number of flexible and fully customizable hearing aid solutions to meet every hearing need. Primax models include the receiver-in-canal Ace and Carat, the super-powered behind-the-ear Motion (to treat advanced degrees of hearing loss) and various models of the in-the-ear Insio.
Signia Cellion Primax
In response to a growing call from consumers for a more energy-efficient hearing aid solution, Signia offers the Cellion Primax. Powered by lithium-ion battery technology, Cellion provides wearers with confident listening for 24 hours on a single charge. Easy to use and discreet in style, Cellion’s OneShell design and push button are convenient for both new and veteran hearing aid wearers to make manual adjustments.
With a powerful lithium-ion battery, wearers need not worry about replacing batteries for up to five years. Cellion’s inductive, contactless charging is simple to operate: simply place your Cellion aids into the recharging station and they will automatically begin charging. LED lights will give you the status of your hearing aid’s battery levels. As an added bonus, the Cellion charging station is also a dehumidifier, ensuring that your hearing aids are moisture-free for proper functioning. A micro USB charger is convenient for people who are on the go and may need an extra charge.
As a wireless hearing aid, Cellion’s listening features are easily adjusted with the touchControl App and miniPocket remote control. Audio streaming is also available with the easyTek app. Cellion’s directional microphones improve speech recognition and provide excellent sound performance in multiple power levels. Cellion is a mini receiver-in-canal hearing aid.
While most hearing aids take a week or two to customize, the Silk is a ready-to-wear completely-in-canal hearing aid – which means you’ll experience immediate access to sound when you walk out of our office at Greentree Audiology.
Silk utilizes silicon “Click Sleeves,” available in a number of sizes to fit virtually every hearing canal. This flexible solution is natural and invisible, sitting deep in your ear canal. The vented click sleeves ensure ventilation and a comfortable listening experience.
Silk has been clinically proven to reduce listening effort, with a powerful microphone that focuses on speech sounds and reduces background noise. Silk is also equipped with tinnitus therapy (synthetic and ocean tones), as well as wireless capabilities to stream sounds directly to your ears.
Signia Pure 13 BT
Pure 13 BT is the world’s first hearing aid with both high definition binaural and direct streaming. As a Made for iPhone hearing aid, Pure connects to the myControl app on your smartphone through Bluetooth, which allows for convenient adjustments. Direct streaming means that Pure 13 BT wearers may experience music and TV audio directly in their ears, without the need of any other assistive listening device.
In noisy environments, Pure 13 BT has been found to focus both on speech sounds in conversation as well as other sounds around you. Additionally, Pure 13 BT offers the option for wearers to look after their hearing health, with personal sound profiles that provide information about noise exposure. With an IP-67 rating, Pure BT 13 is resistant to moisture, sweat, and other elements. It is also equipped with Notch Tinnitus Therapy. Pure 13 BT is a behind-the-ear hearing aid.
