Bluetooth Hearing Aids

Bluetooth technology was first brought into selective hearing aid models back in 2014. Despite being around for some time, only since 2017 has Bluetooth been widely available from various manufacturers with the ability to connect to both iPhone and Android devices. The great thing about having Bluetooth technology in your hearing aids is that it eliminates the need for intermediary devices such as neck loops and other connective devices that used to be required when you wanted to customize your listening experience right away or tap into an audio device such as your smart phone for phone calls and music listening. With Bluetooth, you can connect directly to your phone for calls, music, and other listening opportunities as well as connect to an app for customized sound in your hearing aids.

LiNX Quattro by ReSound

resound linx quattro bluetooth

With the Bluetooth capabilities of the ReSound LiNX Quattro you have an extraordinary streaming experience from almost any audio source. Compatible with both iPhone and Android devices, the Resound LiNX Quattro offers rich and detailed streaming sound.

And with its increased power, there is nearly no lag time when streaming directly into your hearing aids or with a Resound wireless accessory. So, things like phone calls, updates, text notifications and voiceover audio from an app all come into your hearing aids with no lag time.

When you answer the phone, the call is immediately started in your hearing aids.

When watching TV, you can enjoy listening to TV shows or movies and hear it all with improved clarity at your own volume – while everyone else with you listens at theirs.

With the ReSound Smart 3D app, you can personalize your hearing experience to get the most out of your hearing aids. Everything you need for a quick adjustment is on the main screen for one-tap access.

Because the Resound LiNX Quattro is a “Made for iPhone” model, you can use your iPhone as a remote control for your hearing aids. By simply triple pressing the home button, you can view a control panel to adjust the volume and switch between pre-programmed hearing aid settings. You can also turn your iPhone into a remote microphone to pick up more sound around you.

ConnectClip from Oticon transmits the caller’s voice from the phone to your hearing aids. And the built -in microphone seamlessly sends your voice back to the caller. The ConnectClip also allows wearers to connect to iPhones, iPads and other Bluetooth -enabled devices to stream high quality music into their hearing aids just like wireless headphones.

If you have the Oticon TV adapter, you can stream your movie or TV show directly into your hearing aids. And with the Oticon ON App, you can control your hearing aids to adjust volume, switch programs, check the battery level, and review features of your hearing aids.

Another great option of the Oticon Opn S using Bluetooth is connection to IFTTT (if this then that) - enabled devices. Preprogram your hearing aids to alert you if someone is at your door, or to turn the lights on when you put your hearing aids in.

Along with this technology, Widex Evoke uses the same 2.4 GHz Bluetooth connectivity for direct streaming of audio as well as direct control of your listening experience from smartphones and tablets. You can make hearing aid adjustments, accept phone calls, stream music and listen to audio from TV programs or movies, all directly in your hearing aids by using the WidexLink technology and the Tonelink App.
